While Paul was waiting for slias and timothy in Athens, he noticed there were idols all over the place. He was ticked off about it. He had meetings with the Jews, and chatted every day at Starbucks with everyone. Some philosophers talked with him. They said “what is this idiot talking about?” and others “he seems to be talking about other gods.” The philosophers said this to Paul cause he was telling the truth about Jesus and talking about the resurrection. Then they invited Paul to the Areopagus and said “tell us again about this other god? It sounds weird so we want to know about it.” All the people who lived in Athens looked to talk about or hear something new and strange.
